This image is part of an ongoing body of work exploring memory, loss and the transient nature of life. Using the forms of dead trees as a visual language, the series considers the relationship between beauty and impermanence. Captured on expired black and white film, the resulting textures and imperfections become part of the work itself, reflecting the fragile, imperfect nature of memory and the passage of time. The image is left open to the viewer's own interpretation.

Printed on Ilford Galerie Gold Fibre Gloss paper.
